Postcard, Narratives; Passages; Perception, 2012
Zach Christopher and Studio at 620
In Narratives-Passages-Perception, I attempt to evoke the relationship between matter and relativity through use of the female/male form as it pertains and relates to interaction between non-human forms. However, along with the concentrated subject's portrayed involvement with natural and man-made narratives, there is also the cerebral exception: singular isolation of matter evoking identity. As the viewer, or voyeur even, we seek exploitative passages for the female/male subjects sexuality as isolated beings. Narratives-Passages-Perception is a conceptual visual aesthetic of the idea that all existences, regardless of visually instilled concepts of reality, are unshaped and ill-valued forms of matter. It is with mind, that purpose and directions are fiven to comprise a universal reality.

Postcard, Storyhill, 2012
Sylvia Rusche, Studio at 620, Chris Cunningham, and John Hermanson
Storyhill is a folk duo that brings infectious melodies, smart story songs and heartbreaking harmonies together in one perfect package. Chris Cunningham and John Hermanson grew up and started performing together as teenagers, while living in Bozeman, Montana. Both were musical from the get-go, singing with choirs, playing in bands and mastering many musical instruments-piano, guitar, trumpet, violen, harmonica, bass and accordion. Although their 7th grade world geography class is what ostensibly brought them together, it was their musical passions that made them close friends and lifelong musical collaborators. With the release of their latest album Shade of the Trees, Storyhill confirms that they are one of the most important songwriting duos today. Mixing old-fashioned storytelling with hauntingly spare acoustic arrangements, they sing about love, war and the many sorrows that accompany them.

A beautifully crafted diorama, a petri dish in which we see, with hilarious detail and clarity, the antic sadness of a motley quintet.
February 20, 2012 / I AM MY OWN WIFE: Based on a true story, and inspired by interviews conducted by the playwright over several years, I AM MY OWN WIFE tells the fascinating tale of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, a real-life German transvestite who managed to survive both the Nazi onslaught and the repressive East German Communist regime.

Gurf Morlix and Grant Peeples
Studio at 620, Gurf Morlix, Grant Peeples, and Sylvia Rusche
The 2012 Independent Music Concert Series continues on Saturday February 25th with Gurf Morlix and Grant Peeples. Tempting as it may be, don’t just judge Gurf Morlix by the company he keeps, even if it does provide a fine starting point: eminent musical artists like Lucinda Williams, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Warren Zevon. Who’s Grant Peeples? “This guy’s a guitar-slinging poet” says Nashville Music City News. His songs bite and twist, turn on a phrase, dig beneath the surface of appearances he violates the “No Trespassing” signs, peeks over the backyard fences of the culture. Then he picks up his guitar and lets you know what he’s seen—unapologetically—like a poet would anchor the Six O’ clock News. Join us for an evening of live music starting with a lignt buffet from Sofia Forte catering @ 7PM. Music starts @ 7:30PM

Throughout the work, intersections force detours and spark improvisation. Using movement, gesture, partnering and text, the dancers maneuver to find a balancing point between avoidance and interaction.

Lies I Told My Little Sister
Studio at 620, William J. Stribling, judywhite, and Jonathan Weisbrod
Siblings. Many of us have them. For Cory Webber, her older sister, Sarah, was a fairy princess, and her younger sister Jane-well, she was gullible which made for easy “torture”. After Sarah’s untimely death, Cory, a single, transient photographer by trade, finds herself holed up with her mother and Jane’s family on Cape Cod, learning of the effect her lies had on Jane, as well as of the lies she told herself. Lies I Told My Little Sister is a SAG feature film scheduled to shoot in Cape Cod, MA and in New Jersey this May-June. Director and St. Pete native William J. Stribling and Producer Jonathan Weisbrod are seeking investors to help finish funding on this SAG Ultral Low Budget feature length film. Come spend an evening with the team, hear a reading of the script, and become a producer by investing in “Lies I Told My Little Sister”.
