Abstract

A promotional postcard for An Evening of the Arts in Celebration of Mr. Harry Belafonte, presented at The Mahaffey in St. Petersburg. Directed by Bob Devin Jones, with musical direction by Nate Najar, this inaugural event of the yearlong Harlem Renaissance celebration featured live performances by Dundo Dole Urban African Ballet, John Lamb, Nate Najar, Michael Lynche, Buster Cooper, Sharon Scott, and Bob Devin Jones. The evening also included Q&A sessions with Mr. Belafonte, Ray Arsenault, Eric Deggans, and Colette Bancroft.
