This digital collection highlights postcards from a number of events held at Studio@620 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Bob Devin Jones and David Ellis started the Studio@620 in 2004. This collection contains the postcards of a variety of events, from poetry readings and plays to photography and printmaking exhibits. The collection illustrates the rich history of the playhouse and the art movement in St. Petersburg, Florida over the last few decades.

Friday September 11th, 6:30–9:00 pm The Pagan Prosperity is simply portraying my take on all the crippling systems and the reality of our failing world and the lives ensnared in-between. The works showcased will be an assortment of traditional drawing/painting and digital drawing/painting with some three dimensional pieces as well. Also each work will have its own writing that goes along with it as to help guide the observer through and around the piece, a kind of poetic field guild or helpful riddle. Circumference of a Squirrel

The Studio@620 presents Circumference of a Squirrel by John Walch, a one-man play performed by Gavin Hawk, with direction by Larry Silverberg.
About the play: Meet Chester, a young man with many obsessions: his father, his mother, his ex-wife, the virology of rabies, and most importantly... squirrels. Circles, both real and figurative, whirl out of control in this darkly comic one-man show. And at the center of them all sits an enigmatic squirrel.

A new dance series featuring contemporary choreographers "Le Salon de Danse" continues with Andee Scott from Texas on Nov 15, and Heather Maloney from Miami on Dec 20. Curated by Michael Foley and Melanie Verdeaux this series brings international dancers to St. Petersburg the scene. In the tradition of the 19th century “Salons” in Paris where patrons could experience an artist’s work in a close setting, Studio @ 620 introduces a new series, “Le Salon de Danse.” This new series brings audiences closer to a contemporary choreographers work in a program of short solos held in the intimate setting of the Studio@620.

For Colored Girls who have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf, by Ntozake Shange was a watershed in American Theatre. This original, fierce and haunting Choreopoem, first published 1975 was a clarion call to thousand of African American women, who saw themselves, their struggles and their determinations rendered in vivid, powerful language. The beautiful poetry of the play is immediate and universal, full of homecoming redemption and celebration.

The Studio@620 will swing through the night as local and legendary jazz performers fill the gallery with live music. Nate Najar is one of only few guitarists who play jazz on the classical guitar. Contrapuntal lines, lush harmony, and a full swinging sound have come to be associated with his guitar work. Jazz icon and ever-popular virtuoso performer, bassist John Lamb will share the stage with Nate Najar. John Lamb performed with the legendary Duke Ellington Orchestra for more than ten years.

Jack Gerreghty doesn't think fighting is the answer, until he meets the love of his life, Rachel. Beginning 16 years before the Easter Rising, Manifesto tells a story of a battle for a country that refuses to give up and a love that cannot be defeated. Presented in a workshop format with a string quartet, Manifesto offers an opportunity to see new musical theatre followed by a brief talk-back with the Composer/Playwright and Company.
