Abstract
A beautifully symbolic gesture of rememberance, St. Petersburg's Historic 22nd Street South by Rosalie Peck and Jon Wilson, explores the vibrancy of one of Florida's most relevant and cherished African American landmarks. From its origins, through the draconian Jim Crow, and until present day, 22nd Street South has been a haven and a center for a neighborhood, a movement and a culture. The Pen Is Mightier and The Studio@620, invite all members of the writing and non-writing community to come experience, explore and learn. There is a workshop in the afternoon to be followed by a reading/discussion of the text with the authors in the evening.
