Abstract
Four images from Rodman Reservoir in Florida with the aquatic plant Hydrilla. Each are captioned with an overarching caption at the bottom. From top left, clockwise, "Open water indicates channel of drowned Oklawaha River. Note Hydrilla at surface in foreground."; "Looking east toward Rodman Dam from Orange Springs Landing. Hydrilla has completely chocked this part of the reservoir."; "Hydrilla verticillate is rooted in the bottom of the reservoir, grows to the surface and forms dense mats."; "Close-up of hydrilla." The caption at the bottom reads "By October 1977, Hydrilla had increased seventy-three per cent and was rooted in water fifteen feet deep in front of the Dam. Eighty-two per cent of the Reservoir was covered by ten different water weeds. About half of the remaining open water was located in the drowned channel of the Oklawaha River."
