Abstract
Drawing that depicts the Sudanese military and Janjaweed militia attacking a village in Darfur.
Alt Text
A child's drawing in pen and colored pencils on a lined notebook page that depicts multiple scenes of attack on a village by armed, military-type personnel and vehicles. At the bottom of the page is a drawing of a man with his livestock and a woman holding a child's hand. Directly above them is a representation of the village, including four houses and a tree that are all surrounded by brick fences, having ordinance dropped on it from a helicopter and a jet above. One of the houses has caught fire and a village lies dead next to it. A few figures are seen underneath trees, possibly trying to hide, while others flee from trucks with mounted machine guns and men armed with rifles on camelback.
