Abstract

Doris J. (Jeannie) McDaniel-Pappas, a Florida native and alumni of Eckerd College’s Program for Experienced Learners, donated this collection of family records to the Nelson Poynter Memorial Library on 30 July 2007. These materials document the activities of her father, Archie Tillman McDaniel II, a veteran of the Second World War who served in Japan after the war came to an end and became an early advocate for civil rights.
