Abstract

Hugh W. Cunningham, a former professor of journalism at the University of Florida, donated 49 individual newspaper issues. They represent a broad geographic diversity of newspapers from 22 states and the District of Columbia on Friday, 9 August 1974. This collection serves as an excellent primary source for a "slice-of-life" analysis of how journalists reported Nixon’s resignation.
