Note

This relief was featured on the base of a Kourou statue, which often included decorated low-reliefs depicting athletic training, sessions, games, and leisure activities. It was discovered in 1922 built into the Themistoclean Wall. There are three sides of the base, with this being the right side. Shown are four men, all wearing hamartia. The two figures in the middle are seated on stools and facing each other. One of these men is holding a lead with a dog and the other holding a lead with a cat, setting them to fight. Two onlookers stand behind watching the scene, which is presumably set in the changing rooms while the athletes were resting. The object is currently held in the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, Greece.
