Abstract
Cody Fowler and a man wearing a 7-Eleven shirt stand in front of a 7-Eleven grocery store near Progress Village. This was the first neighborhood grocery store in operation near in Progress Village, a suburb community designed to provide Tampa's Black residents with homes and yards in satisfactory surroundings with adequate zoning. The store was located at 1302 S. 78th Street.
