Abstract
Delta Oceanographic's "Delta" submarine being lowered into the water by the R/V [Research Vessel] Suncoaster's crane. The "Delta" is a small, two person submarine which can be used for scientific research. The R/V [Research Vessel] Suncoaster was a scientific research ship which was operated out of St. Petersburg, Florida by the Florida Institute of Oceanography. The R/V Suncoaster is docked in a port while the "Delta" submarine is being lowered into the water. Four people reach over the guardrails of the ship to push the submarine in an effort to keep it from scraping the side of the ship as it is lowered into the water.
