Abstract

"The evaluation of community response to disaster recovery tends to focus on the group as a whole. Social, political and economic factors are delineated as the resource variables in recovery. This research varies, in that life cycle placement becomes the unit of analysis. The individuals under study are a small group of community residents that refused to relocate following devastation of their community by Hurricane Andrew on August 24, 1992."
