Abstract

The report "depicts what alerts are in the context of the Parkfield Earthquake Prediction Experiment and the unfolding of events surrounding the first Parkfield A-level alert. The purpose of researching the alert and the methods used to investigate this phenomenon are then presented. Results from interviews and observations acquired from social research on the alert and the derived findings complete this report."
