Abstract
The publication date refers to the date of collection. A Leach's storm petrel (Hydrobates leucorhous) lies side by side with a band-rumped storm petrel (Oceanodroma castro) for comparison. Though their plumages are almost exactly the same in color, the Leach's storm petrel is slightly larger.
