Florida Sentinel Bulletin Collection

The Florida Sentinel Bulletin is Florida's largest and most widely read African American newspaper. Founded in 1945, the paper is published twice weekly and distributed door-to-door and on news racks in Hillsborough, Polk, and Pinellas counties and via subscription throughout the United States. In August 2012, the University of South Florida Tampa Library began a project to retrospectively digitize issues of the Florida Sentinel Bulletin in its collection. The collection spans 1971-2012.
