EMS staffing shortages are no longer looming - they are present-day realities that affect the safety and well-being of every community. EMS personnel are the first line of response for medical emergencies, disasters, and public health crises. Yet today, many agencies are struggling to maintain staffing levels due to recruitment barriers, retention challenges, and systemic funding shortfalls.
