Abstract
Notes on the map: I hereby certify, that in the fall of 1859 and the winter of 1860, I, accompanied by R.D. Meader assistant engineer of the Florida Rail Road, surveyed that part of the line of Rail Road between the waters of Amelia Island and the waters of Tampa Bay which extends from the Cedar Key extension, junction at Waldo to the waters of Tampa Bay at Fort Brooke. The notes of said survey accompanied by a diagram were deposited in the office of the Company and the annexed map exhibits correctly the location of the line as made by me and adapted by the Company. [Signed] M.A. Williams, engineer & surveyor, Fernandina, Fla. October 30th 1875." Also contains the signatures of Company Vice-President and Acting President D.L. Yulee, Engineer P.W. Oscar Koerner, Acting Secretary John Hedges, and Florida Gov. M.L. Stearns. "Filed in General Land Office Feby. 1, 1881 with letter & decision of Secretary of Interior dated Jany 28 '81."
