Abstract
Terry Howard interviews Shayne Revels, a commercial king fisherman, sail fisherman, and marlin fisherman based in Ft. Pierce, Florida. Shayne Revels was born and raised in Vero Beach, Florida, and grew up recreational fishing with his family. The interview begins by Revels describing how he got involved in commercial fishing. They then discuss Revels involvements in the various fisheries around the state of Florida, and then begin to describe the technical aspects involved with King fishing, such as dredges, teasers, and types of baits. Revels then tells a few stories of him fishing on the Gulf of Mexico, the Mississippi River, the Bahamas, as well as other locations around Florida. He concludes the interview by providing his opinions on the state of fishing due to social media and other factors, and expresses his gratitude to be involved in the king fishery.
