Abstract
In this oral history, Terry Howard interviews Robert Joseph Lynch, a fishing boat captain and kingfisher, about his life and experiences on the water. Lynch reflects on growing up in St. Lucie Village and his introduction to fishing. He shares stories of his time at sea with other captains, such as Johnny Jones and Shayne Revels, and describes the different types of fishing he practices, including techniques for catching kingfish, marlin, and sailfish. Lynch recounts various experiences from his journeys, such as navigating through storms, rescuing a man from the water, encountering floating bales, and a diving incident. Lynch expresses satisfaction with his career and gratitude for being raised in Fort Pierce.
