In 2004, before his book Freedom Riders: 1961 and the Struggle for Racial Justice was published, Dr. Raymond Arsenault and former Freedom Riders discussed Florida's part in one of the most important episodes in the civil rights movement. Gordon Carey and Israel "Sy" Dresner contribute.
