Abstract
A brief piece on pilot Tony Jannus, who flew a small plane across Tampa Bay in 1914 marking the first scheduled commercial passenger flight in the United States. The piece, Bill Dudley with contributions by Tom Reilly and Ed Hoffman, also includes mention of Percival Fansler, a Jacksonville businessman who believed in the future of air travel and advocated for the scheduled flight between Tampa and St. Petersburg.
