Dear Papa:

We are waiitng to go aboard the Catania. We are right beside her. She is big, black, and hot. Will try to write more tonight, if possible, but don’t expect any letter. It’s very hot here but I’m getting aclimated. Some of the boys are feeling badly-- nostalgia I guess. Those Von Coin pictures were taken at home, you can get them on F... upstairs – 919. Ask for pictures taken by Corp. Oliver Bell. Taken in front of the armory. Will write from Key West
