"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your and my thoughts than your thoughts." We realize that this proclamation by the mouth of the prophet is for the strengthening of the faith of all who believe in God and for their assurance that all visitations of Divine Providence have a wise purpose.
WHEREAS,
It has pleased our Heavenly Father to remove from our midst our fellow Christian Endeavorer,
HENRY A. DOBSON
who died while serving under his country's flag, and who also served faithfully under the banner of the cross, therefore be it
Resolved, That we, the members of the Young Peoples' Society of Christian Endeavor of the Eastern Presbyterian Church So hereby express our grief at his loss who gave us such an example of fidelity to duty, loyalty to country and of devotion and love to Him whom he so loved and served.
Resolved, That we extend to the loved ones he leaves behind our sincere sympathy in this their bereavement, which we share, and commend them to the God of all grace who is the great burden bearer.
Resolved, That these resolutions be spread on our records and that a copy be sent to his parents.
