Abstract
Oil pollution in or near coastal areas of Pinellas County, Florida. A collision between two barges and a freighter in 1993 caused oil to spill into Tampa Bay, the Gulf of Mexico, and local waterways.
Alt Text
A long line of white material and colorful netting stretches along a sandy beach near the water's edge, with buildings and palm trees visible in the background. The ocean waves gently crash onto the shore under a partly cloudy sky.
