Abstract
Oil pollution in or near coastal areas of Pinellas County, Florida. A collision between two barges and a freighter in 1993 caused oil to spill into Tampa Bay, the Gulf of Mexico, and local waterways.
Alt Text
A shovel and a yellow and black striped measurement tool lies on a sandy beach beside a grove dug into the sand near the water's edge, with footprints and seaweed scattered around. The ocean waves gently touch the shore in the background.
