Abstract
Drawing of Janjaweed militia that came on horseback and started shooting any civilian in sight. They received backing from Sudan's military who used trucks mounted with machine guns to fire mortar rounds in the village and also used helicopters to bomb and destroy these villages. Darfuri civilians tried to defend themselves with spears but were no match to the efficient hardware being used by the military and the militia group.
Alt Text
A child's drawing in blue pen on a graph paper notebook page with some colored details that depicts several armed individuals attacking a village and its residents. Two of the attackers are seen firing machine guns from horseback, while a third holds his gun in one hand and guides his horse with the other. Small illustrations of a truck with a mounted gun and a helicopter are also seen. Two of the village residents are holding spears and other simple weapons and trying to fight back. A row of three houses has been colored over with red squiggly lines, likely indicating that they are on fire.
