Abstract

Drawing by a 13-year-old Darfuri girl living in a refugee camp in Chad. The pictures depict a Sudanese military helicopter and truck mounted with a high caliber machine gun being used to shoot of civilians and bombing of villages. Also depicted are Janjaweed militia who assisted the military by shooting civilians and burning homes.

A child's pencil and crayon drawing on white paper of a village and its residents under attack by multiple type of armed assailants. A helicopter flies overhead, dropping fire bombs, while soldiers on foot and on camel- and horseback fire their machine guns at villagers who are trying to flee, including elderly people and a woman with a baby on her back. Another soldier on foot is seen firing into the roofs of the village homes, which have already caught fire from the ordinance that was dropped.
