Abstract
Drawing that depicts the results of Sudan's scorched earth policy. Military airplanes and trucks mounted with machine guns attack the Darfuri village while homes burn, some with civilians trapped inside.

A child's pencil drawing colored in with crayons on white paper that depicts an attack on a small, rural village by armed assailants and military vehicles. Two airplanes fly overhead and are seen dropping ordinance on the village homes which have caught fire from the bombardment. Some villagers remain trapped inside their burning houses while other attempt to flee outside on foot, but are surrounded by two trucks full of armed soldiers, armed footmen, and armed soldiers on horseback. Several notes written with a blue pen in Arabic are seen spread across the image.
