Abstract
This drawing was done by a 9 year old Darfuri boy. It depicts the village he lived in being attacked by the military using machine guns, tanks, and helicopters. Houses were torched and many people in his village were killed when tanks fired rounds at them.

A child's drawing in pencil and color crayons on white paper that depicts a group of people running away from armed attackers who have come to their village. One of the fleeing villagers has lost his arm but continues to run, while the others remain under fire from an armed soldier on foot and a tank that is firing mortar shells, including women carrying market goods. There are also representations of houses with pointed roofs, trees, and helicopters seen throughout the drawing. Notes in Arabic are seen at the top of the page.
