Abstract
Drawing that depicts the Sudanese military attacking a Darfur village by bombing homes from a helicopter and using machine guns to shoot at homes.
Alt Text
A child's pencil sketch on graph paper that depicts an attack by armed assailants on a group of buildings that represent a village. A truck with a mounted machine gun and two gunmen on foot are seen firing into the buildings, as well as at two other figures who appear to be fleeing. Overhead, a helicopter drops ordinance onto the buildings. The artist has used a red marker to indicate a fire on the roof of a house as well as the path of the falling fire bombs from the helicopter. Below this scene, on the lower part of the page, are sketches of people, a cow or some other kind of livestock, two trees, and a flat-bed truck.
