Abstract
Drawing of a machine gun, a weapon commonly used by the Sudanese military against villagers in Darfur.
Alt Text
A detailed color drawing of a machine gun, drawn by a child on a piece of lined paper. The illustration has many details, including a belt of ammo being fed into the bottom of the weapon and the textures of its grips. The English word, "cool," is written on the gun's belt container, though whether this was intentional or not is unclear. There is Arabic text written in blue pen at the top of the page, as well as the Latin letters "ok OUI" at the lower left.
