Abstract
Photograph of a village in Darfur that was burnt down by the Sudanese army and Janjaweed militia.
Alt Text
Large clay or metal pots and several tree branches that have been inserted vertically into the ground are scattered across a muddy clearing in a forested area. Other sticks and debris lie scattered about the scene in fairly neat lines, suggesting these small and scattered pieces of wood may have once been used in construction of some kind of structures.
