Abstract

An 8 year old boy drew the pictures of what he saw when his village in Darfur was attacked. The Sudan air force bombed villages using its airplanes and military tanks were also used to fire mortars into the villages. It is evident that these attacks left many homes destroyed after being torched by the military.

Alt Text

A child's drawing on a worn, creased piece of white paper of two rows of houses having something dropped on them from two airplanes overhead. On either side of each row of homes are human figures with large guns, and below that are representations of a truck full of military personnel, a flagpole with the flag of Sudan flying, a tank, and what appears to be either a motorcycle or bicycle.
