Abstract
Milton Harrison was a member of the 9th Armored Infantry Battalion, part of the 6th Armored Division, who were, according to Harrison, the original liberators of Buchenwald in April 1945. The twenty-two man unit fought its way into the camp, subdued the guards, and interviewed some of the prisoners, spending several hours there; the next day, men from two other division arrived. In this interview, Harrison recounts his experiences at Buchenwald, speaking very passionately against the misconceptions about its liberation. He is also the chairman of the Buchenwald Information Committee.
