Abstract
These data report the isotopic composition (13C and 14C) of sedimentary organic carbon within suspended particulate organic carbon in the southern Gulf of Mexico, collected in the summer of 2015.
Purpose
This information reveals the characterization of sedimentary organic carbon collected from the sea floor of the Gulf of Mexico. Our objective was to characterize the sediment of the region at this time, some 30-40 years following the Ixtoc oil spill.
