C-IMAGE Collection

The Center for the Integrated Modeling and Analysis of the Gulf Ecosystem (CIMAGE) was a research consortium comprised of 19 institutions from 6 countries. The articles, data, and podcasts represent 10 years of research into the environmental impact two mega spills (Deep Horizon and IXTOC-I) had in the Gulf of Mexico as well as wetlands, marshes, coastal waters and the organism living in these systems.

Research was focused on six separate tasks; however, they were not studied in isolation and the interconnectedness and integration of these tasks significantly advanced oil spill research and fundamental understanding of marine blowouts and resulting ecosystem impacts.
