Abstract

Lipid class composition of red drum exposed to south Louisiana crude oil CEWAF using Iatroscan.

Comments

Extent

The dataset contains laboratory measurements of lipid composition, no field sampling involved.

Supplemental Information

Test 113 Sample Key worksheet: Day, Sample Date (mm/dd/yyyy), Sample Location (MAP: Mote Aquaculture Park), Tank ID, Matrix, MML, Comments. Tank Descriptions worksheet: Tank ID, Start and End Date (mm/dd/yyyy), Treatment, Number of Fish. CEWAF Prep worksheet: Date (mm/dd/yyyy), Carboy, Oil (g), Corexit (g), Volume Water (L). Lipid Weight worksheet: Liver and Whole Body: g/10mL and % Lipid. TLC Liver Results and Whole Body Results worksheet: Day, Tank, Rep, MML #, % Wax esters & Sterol Esters, % Triglycerides, % Free Fatty Acids, % Cholesterol, % Phospholipids & Polar Lipids, % Total Lipid. For liver results: Dilutions indicated by d# (i.e d2=2x, d5=5x, d10=10x, d50=50x).|Tissue samples were extracted via EPA method 3545 using a Dionex ASE300, then concentrated to 10 mL in DCM for analysis. Lipid Composition: 1 uL of sample analyzed with Iatroscan using PeakSimple 444 software.|Iatroscan MK-6s||QA measures were included per batch according to Environmental Laboratory for Forensics Quality Assurance Plan. If QA measurements were not met, samples were re-analyzed or data was qualified.|
