Abstract
Louise Lykes Ferguson, matriarch of a prominent Tampa family, describes her childhood, marriage, social activities, and family history. The interview begins with a discussion of Mrs. Ferguson’s childhood in Tampa, education, and marriage to Chester H. Ferguson. She also discusses her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her social life in Tampa, including being crowned Gasparilla queen in 1934. Mrs. Ferguson also mentions her love of the performing arts and her support of Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.
