Abstract

Louise Lykes Ferguson, matriarch of a prominent Tampa family, describes her childhood, marriage, social activities, and family history. The interview begins with a discussion of Mrs. Ferguson’s childhood in Tampa, education, and marriage to Chester H. Ferguson. She also discusses her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her social life in Tampa, including being crowned Gasparilla queen in 1934.
