Abstract
A new film from the creators of “Loren Cass” Fundraising Reception Please join us for a fundraiser for “Surpassing All Other Kings”, held at one of the film's primary locations, the Snell Arcade building in downtown St. Petersburg. “Surpassing All Other Kings” is the second feature film project from local independent filmmaker Chris Fuller and producer Frank Craft, following 2006's “Loren Cass” which had its first screening at Studio@620. “Loren Cass” was met with international acclaim and played at film festivals worldwide along with the Museum of Modern Art, and was released theatrically and on DVD by Kino International in 2009, a rare accomplishment, after being nominated for an IFP Gotham Award. The Studio is pleased to have a larger role as a partner in producing this latest work. “Surpassing All Other Kings” is the true story of Shannon Wren, a St. Petersburg man who was drawn into the world of counterfeit computer chips, and his dealings with a menacing business partner, retired U.S. Navy Captain David Cowliss. The cast of the film includes The Studio@620’s Artistic Director Bob Devin Jones. Join us for a reception aimed at launching and supporting this new filmmaking endeavor.
