Abstract
The Studio@620 presents an exhibit of artwork by Jimmy Baumgartner. Nicknamed for years as, “the Gray Lady”, The New York Times is a constant source of inspiration to the artist. “The combining of incongruous materials— wood, ceramic, paper and acrylic —reflect my personal tussle with harmony. My art is truly a reflection of who I am—eclectic with an edge of uncertainty, evident of past and ongoing struggles. Veiled messages of those struggles are evident to some, yet remain forever tucked away from others. Just as time creates layers of who we become, my work evolves and changes—layer upon layer.” – Jimmy Baumgartner Jimmy Baumgartner studied art at Chipola Junior College in Marianna, Florida and Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. He has a BS in Sociological Research from Florida State University and a MBA from the University of South Florida and is the Director of Clinical Research for BayCare Health System.
