Abstract

The Social Justice Roundtable Discussion Series The Studio@620 invites you to the latest installment of the Social Justice Roundtable Discussion Series ”Addiction: Empathy or Disdain?“on Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 7:00 PM The evening will feature ”A Flower for Alex“, a one-act play exploring the dynamics and conflicting views that arise within a family dealing with the consequences of addiction. Playwright Chuck Reigle, a St Petersburg resident, will be among the participants in a panel discussion after the play. In ”A Flower for Alex“, siblings fall on either side of the equation with regard to the role that addiction played in the death of a loved one. Empathy or Disdain.....where do you stand? Come explore the issue with us. Light hors d'oeuvres will be provided.
