Abstract
This is an oral history interview with Ogbueshi Emmanuel C. Obi, a survivor of the Asaba Massacre, a mass killing of civilians which occurred in 1967 during the Nigerian Civil War. Obi was fourteen years old when the massacre took place; he and his family were trapped in their home for four days while Nigerian and Biafran soldiers fired shots at each other over the house and through their windows. He describes his experiences during and shortly after the massacre and comments on the Asaba Memorial Project.
