Abstract
Built in 1978, this is one of the earliest (and one of the best among very few good ones) of Tampa's mirror-wrap buildings. It looks like two cigarette boxes on their sides, slightly shifted with respect to one another, and standing in relatively open space. Buildings like these need room. They are essentially anti-urban and hostile in a crowd, like people with reflecting sunglasses. The graph paper lines border rectangles with dimensions of right proportion. The building is at its best the way it is seen by most people: from the causeway/expressway.
