Abstract
The club was organized in 1894. The constraints of its site may account for the fact that its main entrance is on street level in the low story under the strongly accentuated water- table. Above it rise the giant columns of the barely projecting central pavilion. The first row of three windows between them have classical surrounds and are topped by large medallions and swags. The entablature and parapet are a full story in height and make the building a bit top-heavy. Located at the corner of 7th Avenue and 19th Street.
