Abstract
This house, built in 1986, features tradition with a twist. As to tradition: the very-much-street-facade has a central, gabled entrance pavilion; a large frontal garage with story above it, split-level in relation to the main floor; and chimneys at the gable ends. The typical postmodern sign is found in gable-plus-round-window. The twists are in the split chimneys (rather than paired chimneys); the shoulders of the central pavilion; the motif of square windows combined in square sets of four above the front door and the French doors of the high living room; and the subtly two-toned coloring. This is a view from the southeast.
