Abstract
Opened in 1986 on the University of South Florida campus, the original Moffitt Center building was designed as two axes. One axis runs east-west, from the main entrance to the covered walk which connects the Center with the USF medical school. The other runs north-south and extends on both sides into long, covered walks leading to "drop-off" points. Both are circulation axes, but the latter also served originally to divide the building into the hospital (east) part and the research (west) part. This is a view from the northeast.
