Abstract
This is an oral history interview with Josephine Pizzo, wife of Tampa historian Tony Pizzo. Mrs. Pizzo describes her family history and her childhood in Ybor City. She attended Florida State College for Women and became a teacher, working at several schools in Tampa, particularly Memorial Middle School. She describes how she and Tony Pizzo met and got married in 1941. Mrs. Pizzo also discusses her husband's research and collection of materials, which is now housed in the USF Tampa Library's Special Collections.
