Abstract
Dr. Chip Hinton, executive director of the Florida Strawberry Growers Association, discusses his activities as a leader of this group. He addresses the role of agriculture in the urban environment, land use planning, the water supply in the Tampa Bay area, political techniques using volunteers, property taxes, the greenbelt policy, and the Agricultural Economic Development Working Group. He also provides an outline of the groups involved in land use planning within Hillsborough County.
