Abstract

The association between respiratory disease and agricultural work has been documented since the 1500s. This research still has gaps in the demographics and occupational hazards, including:

• Socially vulnerable groups of agricultural workers, such as migrant workers and women
• The occupational hazards investigated are usually pesticides, rather than non-pesticide chemicals and PM 2.5 that still impact health
